Making way for new changes
Surendra works as an Operations Manager at Kandivali FC in Mumbai. He is responsible for the seamless FML and LML operations in the city. During the second wave of COVID-19, commercial spaces were allowed to operate only from 6 am to 11 am. Retailers needed their deliveries before 7 am to make enough sales before the curfew. So, Surendra and his team devised a strategy to begin dispatch by 5 am. They ensured the delivery, cash collection, and crate recovery process did not take more than 10 minutes at each shop. It was a huge challenge to adapt to the new flow and train drivers to follow suit but the team successfully achieved 100% of the deliveries before 7 am.

Going the extra mile
Surendra was out and about on the field every day, ensuring he met all targets. Unfortunately, he tested positive for COVID 19 in April and isolated himself at home. When he felt better, he picked up work from home to manage the labours and executives and ensured operations ran smoothly on time. During the lockdown, labour attendance was low, but Surendra never hesitated to pick up their tasks himself to not miss our delivery window.
What keeps Surendra motivated
Surendra feels time flies whenever he is at work because he loves his job. Speed and efficiency are of utmost importance to him. He keeps himself motivated to meet his targets by being in the midst of all the operations, and his team shares his enthusiasm. Surendra is excited to keep learning and achieve great things at Ninjacart.
